Hernia Mesh Lawsuits
Missouri & Illinois Hernia Mesh Attorneys
Pain, hernia recurrence, adhesion, obstruction of small or large intestine, bleeding, fluid buildup, abnormal connection between organs, hole in neighboring organs or tissues, and abnormal vessels are just some of the complications our clients have experienced as a result of a defective hernia mesh implant.
The most common aversions following defective hernia mesh repairs or implants are infection, pain, hernia re-occurrence and adhesion. Contraction can also occur where the hernia mesh either migrates or shrinks inside the body.
Majority of the hernia mesh products that have posed these potentially life threatening risks have been recalled and are currently under investigation by the FDA. To find out if your mesh is subject to litigation please call and speak with one of our attorneys today.
What is surgical Mesh?
Surgical mesh is a medical device that was designed to provide support to damaged or enfeebled tissue. These devices have been constructed from animal tissue as well as synthetic materials.
What causes a hernia?
The right amount of pressure coupled with an opening or weakness in muscle or connective tissue can lead to a hernia. The pressure pushes an organ or tissue through the open or weakened spot.
